Garden Design

I see garden design as a way to help reveal the stories within a landscape. An 'inukshuk' inspired by the Inuits who used these stone beacons as ways to look into both the past and the present; a circuitous path down a hill which presents a journey full of surprises; a natural feature once concealed, now revealed; a granite bench surrounded by fragrant plantings; seaside gardens bursting with resplendent colors along rocky granite coastlines.

I work closely with garden design clients to help blend the practical and aesthetic decision needed to make a beautiful garden.
